Nearby Fréjus adds a distinctly Provençal atmosphere, with traditional markets and the colours, flavours and relaxed lifestyle of the South of France. One of our favourite ways to visit Saint-Tropez is by sea: during the high season, regular boat services depart directly from Saint-Raphaël – a wonderful alternative to driving and an experience in itself. Saint-Raphaël is also a great destination for families, with playgrounds, beaches and plenty of activities for children. Swimming, sailing and a wide range of water sports are available along the coast, while the nearby Estérel offers spectacular hiking trails through its famous red mountains overlooking the Mediterranean.
